Center State (2023-2024)

This season, we attended 3 tournaments

NC FTC Qualifier - Thales Academy (Jan 20, 2024)

1st place Inspire Award (earning us a slot to the State Championship)

NC FTC Qualifier - Islamic Association of Raleigh (Feb 10, 2024)

  • 1st place - Innovate Award
  • 3rd place - Motivate Award
  • Promote Award

NC State Championship (Feb 24, 2024)

For Quantum Quack's 5th consecutive State Championship:
  • 2nd place - Design Award

Power Play (2022-2023)

Here is a summary of the 3 tournaments we attended this season:

NC FTC Qualifier - Smithfield (Jan 21, 2023)

This was our very first competition this season. Here are some key points from this competition:
  • For the first time in QQ history, we were a part of the winning alliance
  • 1st place Control award

NC FTC Qualifier - Winston-Salem (Feb 4, 2023)

Let's take a look at an overview for our 2nd competition this season:
  • We were part of the winning alliance in back to back competitions!
  • 1st place Think award
  • Qualified for the State Championship

NC State Championship (Feb 18, 2023)

Recap of QQ's 4th straight state championship:
  • 2nd place Promote award

Overall, this was yet another successful season for the Quantum Quacks. We are planning on coming back stronger and better than ever next year!

Freight Frenzy (2021-2022)​

This season, we attended 3 tournaments:

NC FTC Qualifier - Rolesville REMOTE (Jan 29, 2022)

The first competition of our season, we won two awards:
  • ​Inspire Award 2nd
  • Think Award Winner
And qualified for state and ranked 12

NC FTC Qualifier - Elon HYBRID (Feb 8, 2022)

In our second competition we also won two awards:
  • Inspire Award winner
  • Think award finalist
and had a W-L-T of 1-4-0 and an OPR of 42.5

North Carolina State Championship (Feb 15, 2022)

In the state championship we won two awards :
  • Connect award winner
  • Promote award winner
ranked 11 with a W-L-T of 4-1-0 and an OPR of 64.4

Ultimate Goal (2020-2021)

During this season we managed to attend 3 tournaments. A big thank you to one of our sponsors, Stemarga, allowed us to use their space for our competition runs!

​ NC FTC Qualifier #1 REMOTE (Feb 1-6, 2021)

This was our first ​​remote tournament, so we had a lot of setup to do before the matches, like setting up the streaming.
A problem we faced was that only 6 people were allowed in the judging session, so we had to alter our presentation methods. 
We received:
  • Connect Award 2nd Place
  • Dean's List Semi-Finalists (Phillip & Eric)
  • Design Award
  • Promote Award 2nd Place

​​ NC FTC Qualifier #7 REMOTE (Feb 15-20, 2021)

Our second tournament for the season went a lot smoother than the first one, and we even interviewed the owner of Stemarga, one of our wonderful sponsors! Watch the interview here.

Skystone (2019-2020)

During this season, our rookie season, we managed to attend 3 tournaments:

​Northern Guilford (Jan 11, 2020)

At our first tournament ever, we had a lot of problems to figure out. One of the big ones was we found a bug in our Auto to Tele-op transition because we hadn't practiced it
  • At the end of the qualification matches, we were ranked #13 with a W-L-T of 2-3-0 and an OPR of 27.4
  • We were on the 4th seed alliance
  • We also received:
    • Connect Award Finalist (Experts)
    • Control Award Finalist (Programming)

​Cary Academy (Feb 8th, 2020)

​Our second tournament went a lot better, we had wrinked out a lot of the kinks
  • At the end of the qualification matches, we were ranked #1 with a W-L-T of 5-0-0 and an OPR of 67.4
  • We were the Captain of the 1st seed aliance, and made it to finals
  • We also had two of our members interview for the dean's list award
  • We also received:
    • Inspire Second Place (overall)
    • Finalist Alliance Captian (robot game)
    • Think Award Finalist (Engineering Notebook)
    • Motivate Award Finalist (Volunteering)
    • Control Award Winner (Programming)
    • Promote Award Winner (Video)

North Carolina ​State Championship (Feb 29, 2020)

We approached State over confident after our successes at Cary, however only the best teams from the state were there, so it was significantly harder
  • At the end of the qualification matches, we were ranked #31 with a W-L-T of 1-4-0 and an OPR of 30.2
  • We also received:
